Warning: this post WILL induce smiles.
I've been working with Kadie for the last couple years through her position with Grimbleby Coleman CPAs, but when she asked me earlier this year if I'd be willing to do a shoot with the new golden retriever puppy that she and her boyfriend John had just adopted, it was the first time I'd had the good fortune to shoot her outside the office. And hey, the chance to shoot a gorgeous couple, in a gorgeous location--Knight's Ferry--with their adorable new pup? Seriously, this had the makings of a photographer's dream session.
And as the shot above might already have told you: it did not disappoint.
Remmy was not only one of the cutest puppies I've ever had the luck to photograph, all along the way people were stopping us to coo over her and remark at how incredibly sweet and well behaved she is.
Even at only three months old, Remmy was already learning manners befitting the HUGE dog she's going to be. But she also had this boundless puppy energy--and tendency to tear out enormous chunks of grass and sod at every opportunity--that had Kadie, John and me laughing uproariously all the way to the end of golden hour.
I can't think of a better way to spend an early spring afternoon.
